2021 MAKEX ROBOTICS COMPETITION NORTH AMERICAN OPEN

We at Youth Coding Innovation Club (ycic.club), are glad to announce our competition date and venue was finalized, with the help from our co-host CAANH( Chinese American Association of North Hempstead) , “2021 MakeX Robotics Competition North American Open” will be hosted at Nov 21st, 2021 (Sunday), the venue is Clinton G. Martin Park (1601 Marcus Ave, New Hyde Park, NY 11042), it is the very convenience location for most of the team.

MakeX is a robotics competition platform that promotes multidisciplinary learning within the fields of science and technology. It aims at building a world where STEAM education is highly appreciated and where young people are passionate about innovation by engaging them in exciting Robotics Competition, STEAM Carnival, etc.

2018 FALL COURSES

The coming 2018 fall, our Youth Innovation Lab will offer six courses, include the "3D Modelling", "Mobile App Design", "Scratch + Robotics", "Python for beginners", "Python + Data Analysis" and "Python + Hardware", the "3D Modelling" and "Mobile App Design" course is mini course, it will be 6 class session (6 weeks), and the rest of the courses is the full length 12 week courses. We reserve the right to decide whether to open the course (based on the number of enrollment, very important, we changed our minimum enrollment for each course from 8 to 6, and decrease our maximum classroom size from 14 to 12, so we will start to offer the course as long as it has 6 students, and stop at 12, so our classroom won't be too cloud.

Year end review of 2019 Youth Coding & Innovation Club Activities

At this moment of resigning the old and welcoming the new, we will review the activities that our club has organized in the past year and look forward to the development of the coming year. Thank you for your support and continued attention in the past year.

The year of 2019 is a big leap year for YCIC (Youth Coding & Innovation Club), for the first time, we step out, from the participator to an organizer, and we organize the first ever MakeX robotics competition in US, which MakeX robotics competition by its scale is already the third largest youth robotics competition in the world, in its 2019 season, there are more than 60 countries, with over 800 competitions, joining force by over 12000 teams around the world.

First time teams from USA went on MakeX robotics global final

2019 Makeblock MakeX Robotics Competition World Championship kicked off in Guangzhou Asian Games Town Gymnasium. From Nov. 29-Dec.1, 450 teams from 60 countries, namely 2,500 teachers and students, fought with their robots to win the final bonus pool of over $70,000, breaking the record of participating countries with 3 times more than in 2018. Now MakeX marks the Top 3 STEAM competition worldwide.

Over the past year, MakeX Robotics Competition has swept over 6 continents with 60 countries and 150 cities, attracting over 10,000 teams to register for the competition. The Final adopted an AI-themed setting in the 30,000 m2 stadium, and the AI Carnival space outside of the stadium was another appealing spot where tech enthusiasts can linger around for hours.
